We are a new company with a new brand but have joined together bath screen manufacturing, design and operations expertise to create the first of many products that will provide unique features for every bathroom. The concept for the Bath Screen PrO originated in the UK, designs were created and tested, then the best components have been sourced from overseas and the UK to be assembled in the UK and supplied via bathroom specialists. The product has been patented to ensure full protection for what is a key requirement for any bathroom – storage.
With over 20 years experience in the bathroom products market, operating within manufacturing and distribution businesses, in fields such as Export Sales, Product Sourcing, Procurement and Operations, the desire to develop a truly innovative, unique and problem solving product has been a key objective for us.
The bathroom market has seen a major desire by many companies to be looking for cost effective and competitive product from the East. Yet, our belief is that there are many other product sourcing opportunities if only we decided to create product with added value to consumers whilst retaining competitiveness.
The original concept was the brain child of a well known and successful ideas creator in our industry, with over 30 years experience in design and engineering. Patents were filed in several countries. Once the patent had been granted in the UK, following a chance meeting in London, an agreement was made for us to have the exclusive licence for the product covered by the patent. This involved then translating the idea into a real product solution that would be desirable, affordable, discreet and flexible.
One of the UK’s successful shower enclosure product design engineers, part of the team that introduced many well known brands, including Niagara and Amadeus, go to work on the project. CAD design software modelling alongside many new technologies such as 3D printing created cost effective rapid prototypes. We work with proven world class manufacturers in UK, Italy and Asia.
The full size product prototypes were shown at the May 2015 Design Series Exhibition at Excel. The objective was to receive consumer feedback as well as show the product to potential interested trade partners. The reaction was very positive with some constructive feedback.
Therefore, some tooling modifications took place during the second half of 2015 and March 2016 at KBB saw the official launch of the first products, with many more to come. We will continue to learn and any improvements made will be with the objective of ensuring that the product overall is even more appealing.
